It’s always been hard for me to transition into a new season. Summer to fall is probably the most difficult. It’s hard to get excited about chunky sweaters and OTK boots when it’s still 95 degrees outside and we are going to the beach every weekend. But come September I don’t like still wearing my little tanks, jean shorts, and sandals every weekend like I did all summer. I love fall fashion and still try to incorporate it at least a little bit into these in between season days.

I love this dress because it is oversized but not so oversized that it looks like you’re wearing a table cloth. It is from Shein.com and sometimes I have difficulty with getting the right size there. This is a small and worked out perfectly. I binged on tacos that day after going to the Wilmington Boat Show and I still felt comfy in this dress even if I was miserably full (sorry not sorry).

My favorite part of fall fashion is the boots. I think most people can agree. So during these in between times I love wearing my ankle boots with dresses and shorts. I am so obsessed with these Free People boots I wear them all the time. They were a great investment and they come in so many colors I think I am going to get another color this year. You can wear boots with both maxis and short dresses too. I also love wearing my brown ankle boots with jean shorts and a sweater. I wish I could wear jean shorts and a sweater all year long. It is another great way to transition into fall without being too warm. A worn in jean jacket is also my go to for turning even a beach cover up into a fall look. I have had this Gap one literally since 6th grade and it’s still going strong.
