When the family I work for goes out of town, I house + dog sit for them. They live on the beach so Kyle and I get to pretend we are Wrightsville Beach locals for the weekend. I took this opportunity to wear these linen pants and flowy cotton top I bought at Anthropologie while I was in Asheville. If I could wear looks like this every day I would. If only I could live in a beach house in Malibu and lounge in the sunlight with no humidity. Until that day I will take any chance I get to wear white from head to toe. I love the way these pants are tight at the top then have a really wide leg at the bottom. This look was perfectly fitted in all the right places. We went out to eat at a local tavern for our “cheat day” so this over-sized trapeze top was perfect for the occasion as I was planning on downing a burger and cheese fries. I love the big wooden buttons on this top so much! I kept it simple with flat sandals as we were walking down the beach to our destination. I bought these sunglasses for Kyle as an anniversary gift, but every once in a while he lets me wear them. The leather bracelet I wore I found at a local handmade shop in Asheville but my wrap bracelet is Boho Betty. I have a lot of their wraps and I love every one. I like that you can stack them with other bracelets or wraps or wear them alone.

Anthropologie has great sales going on right now and since their prices are usually out of my budget I’ve taken this time to stock up on my favorite pieces. Both this top and pants are great basics to add to any closet. We had such a fun night walking down the beach to dinner. Even dropping my phone in the parking lot then having it get run over by a car and smashed to bits couldn’t ruin our night (okay it almost did but I got over it after my forth gin and tonic).
