As I’ve posted on a few of my Instagram stories, I’ve been getting regular facials and other skin treatments from Natural Esthetics Skincare Boutique in downtown Cary. The owner, Amanda, is so wonderful at what she does. I’ve never had a facial before going there but boy am I in love.

First off, they are insanely relaxing. My first facial with Amanda was honestly more relaxing than a massage. The atmosphere at the salon is so calming I almost fell asleep during it. I like getting them in the morning because it’s almost like doing yoga. Afterwards you have a clear mind and a clear face!

Keeping It Natural

I appreciate the fact that she uses a lot of natural products. I bought this face cleanser from the Naturopathica Skincare line they carry and I love it. After having that terrible reaction on my face a few weeks ago I am trying to stick to less harsh products and more natural solutions.

Having an actual facial is so much different than many of the at home “facial products” I’ve tried before. Not only is it relaxing but my face was glowing for days after. I haven’t had a breakout since I have been getting facials about every two weeks. I have hormonal acne off and on but I haven’t had an issue in over two months!  Amanda has stressed to me the importance of maintaining a facial and skin treatment regime. Although it takes time and money, being only a few months away from 30 years old, I really want to take care of my skin.

I am guilty of laying in tanning beds and not wearing sunscreen for years. Besides my first facial I tried a microneedling treatment last week that even further combats skin aging and dullness. I am going to get my second microneedling treatment next week and will write an entire blog post about the experience.

 

Baby’s First Spray Tan

Natural Esthetics basically does everything. They also offer spray tanning. I have always been TERRIFIED of getting a spray tan after seeing women who were orange and gross. Before a recent beach trip I decided to give it a try. The process was super quick and I looked like I had a nice, natural tan instead of an oompa loompa wannabe. Even Kyle said it looked good after he admitted his fears of me looking like I got dipped in carrot juice. She also does eyelash extensions and brow tinting like I talked about here! Since I hate talking to humans on the phone it’s super easy to book here online.
